Chapter I

Enter the Kingdom

Free to play. Works on computers, phones and tablets.

Java Edition

PC & Mac

  1. Open Minecraft and click Multiplayer.
  2. Click Add Server.
  3. Server address:
  4. Click Done, then Join Server.

Newest Minecraft version recommended. Recent older versions also work.

Bedrock Edition

Phone, tablet & Windows

  1. Open Minecraft, tap Play, then the Servers tab.
  2. Scroll down and tap Add Server.

Consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) don't let you type in server addresses directly. Some players use helper apps for that; we can't vouch for them, so ask a parent first.

First time? You'll fly in over the castle. Hold Shift to skip. Type /help anytime to see everything you can do.

The Kingdom

Everything here is earned by playing. Nothing that helps you win is ever for sale.

A 77-block keep with a giant golden crown, towers, waterfalls and a colosseum. /spawn takes you home.

Checkpoints, a timer and weekly best-time boards. First finish pays $1,000 or $7,500.

Keyall

Be active when the clock strikes the hour and everyone online who's played 15 minutes gets a crate key. Open crates at spawn for Money, Points, diamonds, even spawners.

Every day

Daily streak

Click the shrine at spawn after 10 minutes of play. Seven days build up to a $2,000 prize and a Crown Key. Miss a day? Streak saves have your back.

Sell crops and mob drops for Money, buy building blocks, pay your friends.

Kits & Points

Free kits unlock as you play: Starter every 30 minutes, Diamond every 4 hours, Netherite every 24. Active play earns Points for spawners.

Claims protect your builds

Your first chest claims the land around it. Grab a golden shovel to claim more. Strangers can't break, steal or grief.

Chapter III

Take the Crown

King of the Hill, Ruckus style.

  1. Join. Type /crown join or walk through the arena gate. Your stuff is kept safe and handed back when you leave.
  2. Everyone gets the same gear. No one can buy an advantage, and you never lose your items.
  3. Hold the throne alone. You earn seconds only while you're the only one on it. Most seconds in 10 minutes wins.
  4. Win the title. The champion gets the Crown Champion tag, $5,000, Points and a Crown Key, until someone takes it from them.

A note for parents

Ruckus is run by a parent, for kids. Here's exactly how it works.

What keeps players safe

  • Chat filter. Swearing, slurs and sexual words are blocked in chat, private messages, signs and books. So are links and email addresses.
  • No voice chat. Text only, by design.
  • Real accounts only. Every player must have a genuine Minecraft account.
  • Protected builds. Land claims stop strangers breaking or stealing, and every block change is logged so griefing can be undone.
  • Training wheels. Lava, fire and TNT unlock only after a player's first hour of play.
  • Anti-cheat & moderation. Cheaters are kicked; staff can mute and ban, and every action is recorded.

What we sell, and what we don't

The store sells cosmetics only: chat titles, name colours and particle trails. Nothing in it helps anyone win. Money, Points, crate keys and gear are earned in-game and can never be bought with real money.

What we store

Minecraft usernames, chat and command logs, block-change logs and IP addresses (for bans and security). Purchases are handled by our payment partner, Tebex. Details are in our privacy notice.

Good to know

Is it free?

Yes. Everything that matters in the game is free and earned by playing. The store only sells cosmetics.

Can Java and Bedrock players play together?

Yes. Everyone shares the same world, castle and events.

How do I protect my house?

Place a chest. That claims the land around it. To claim more, hold a golden shovel and right-click two corners, or type /claim 5. Use /trust to let a friend build with you.

Why can't I use lava, fire or TNT?

They unlock after your first hour of play. It keeps builds safe from drive-by griefers.

I found a bug or someone is being mean.
